Tasting Notes: The power and complexity of Canadian Icewine is a two-part story. The cold northern winter of December and January brings the freeze concentration of flavours and texture. The extra two to three months on the wine after regular harvest add the intricacy and nuance. This deliciously sweet wine is filled with delightful aromas and flavours. It fits with any occasion and is a versatile companion for appetizers and desserts. Food Pairing: Delectable by itself, great with veiny cheese, dark chocolate torte or dates wrapped in bacon. Serve wine chilled at 6-8° C. Stored in a refrigerator, opened Icewine will keep for a month. When properly stored, unopened Icewine will last for a decade or more. -

About every two years, Strewn makes a limited amount of Icewine from red grapes and the 2013 vintage delivers beautiful flavour and texture. The juice was over 40 Brix when the grapes were pressed in early January 2014. A lovely rustic red hue and luscious palate displaying fabulous berry and dried fruit.
